CREATIVITY

A great mystery ☺️ that only our way to look, our emotions, our know-how can unlock.

Like many others, I observe and scrutinize the lines, curves, and shapes in my environment.
Nature & materials found there inspire me so much 🍂🌲❄️🌕🧺

In this frozen puddle, flowers appeared & from there, a whole journey intertwined with techniques & time, natural colors of Finnish wools, & emotions - everything took shape.

Comme beaucoup, j'observe, je scrute les lignes, courbes, formes dans mon environnement.
La nature et les matériaux qu'on y trouve m'inspirent tellement 🍂🌲❄️🌕🧺

Dans cette flaque d'eau gelée, des fleurs sont apparues à mes yeux, et de là tout un cheminement entremêlé entre techniques et temps, couleurs naturelles de laine finlandaises, émotions, tout a pris forme.

Presenting our VillaInno Seminar speakers and their topics - part 3✨️

Laurence Rouvier (ArCtisane):
Felting Sustainability and Connections: From Timeless Natural Fibers to Meaningful
Experiences in Lapland. 🐑✨️💞🤍
From the French Alps to Northern Finland, experiences forming into wool products and
services. Promoting of native breeds and local wool through design, tourism & creative
workshops.

Laurence Rouvier
Laurence is a felt maker and artist-designer whose work bridges traditional know-how &
sustainability, focusing on wool crafts through an ethnographic approach. She has been
trained with professional French, German, British felt makers and at Lainamac (the French
wool industry association). She has been involved in the creation of an Alpine initiative
promoting the wool of the Thônes & Marthod sheep breed, including it in Sheep & Wool in
Europe book. ArCtisane is her project of Local Wool Creation & Sustainable Workshop.
With a deep background in tourism in the French Alps and Finnish Lapland, she offers
valuable insights into sustainable mountain and Arctic travel culture.

Je suis heureuse d'avoir été sélectionnée parmi différents projets autour de la laine en Finlande 😊
Valoriser les laines locales me tient à cœur, car nous pouvons réaliser tant de produits avec chacune de nos laines. Que ce soit vestimentaire, décoratif, isolant...
La nature et l'environnement en Laponie m'inspirent pour créer différents objets utiles au quotidien.
La Laponie est une source d'inspiration, où nous vivons au rythme des saisons, qui nous mènent entre pénombre et lumière tout au long de l'année.
Le "Kaamos", la nuit polaire, qui dure plusieurs semaines, me donne cette envie de créer ces sources de lumières douces, où la laine apporte un réconfort.
