The night of 29th September was great and showed us more than we expected!

While driving to Levi, we had to stop on the road because aurora was too good to miss.

Tomorrow is rainy in Sweden and Finland so there is nowhere to go on aurora chasing but Tuesday looks great!

❄️ Winter update for Lapland!
Rovaniemi will see its first frosty nights in early October, with temperatures dipping down to –7°C at night as Arctic air pushes south.

🌨️ Snow is already on the horizon — Northern Norway and Northern Sweden are expected to get their first snowfall around 8 October.

If forecasts stay accurate, Rovaniemi should welcome its first snow flurries by mid‑October.

Early snowfall means winter activities could begin ahead of schedule — snowmobiling, reindeer sleigh rides, husky adventures and even early‑season skiing may start sooner than usual. Lapland is getting ready. ❄️✨

500+ kilometres in one night — and worth every single one.

We chased aurora and clear skies to Swedish Lapland through a rough, foggy night, with the weather models fighting us the whole way. On the drive back to Rovaniemi, something made us stop the van one more time — and when we stepped out, the aurora was dancing. ✨

Nights like this are exactly why we drive as far as it takes. No fixed spots, no giving up — just chasing until we find it.

Last night's lucky guests came from Germany, Switzerland, Singapore, Australia and the Dominican Republic.

Challenging night — but patience paid off! 💚

Clear skies, low fog, but even lower auroral activity. On nights like these, the Northern Lights make you earn it.

So we waited. For five hours we stayed out, watching live space-weather data, tracking the sky — and turning the smart telescope toward deep space while we waited, exploring galaxies and stars so no moment felt wasted.

And then, finally, the aurora showed. ✨ Always worth the wait.

Last night's lucky guests came all the way from Hong Kong, Germany and Romania — thank you for your patience and good company under the Arctic sky.

❗️Let's be honest about the Northern Lights.

This is a real photo from one of our recent tours — the kind of aurora you can genuinely see around Rovaniemi on a night with normal solar activity. Not a rare, once-a-season explosion, and not edited to look like something it isn't.

We'd rather show you the truth than only post the most dramatic shots, because we think you deserve honest expectations. Some nights the sky erupts in colour; many nights look beautifully like this — quiet green light dancing over the trees, under a sky full of stars.

Either way, we chase hard to find it for you, you experience it and take get the photos, and we stay honest about what nature gives us. ✨

How it started vs how it ended.
Last night was very challenging due to unstable weather but thanks to equinox effect we were able to see a beautiful show for a few minutes even with minimal auroral activity.
Our guests from Mexico were super happy that their dream became true.

We drove to Swedish Lapland to find clear skies, 2.5 hours away from Rovaniemi.

We drove 2 hours to Russian border in search of clear skies just to experience this magnificent display of aurora. The lucky guests this night were from Belgium 🇧🇪 , Switzerland 🇨🇭 and Germany 🇩🇪.

Aurora Chasing and Astrophotography in Rovaniemi?

Now you can see the Pleiades, also designated as Messier 45 (M45) and widely known as the Seven Sisters, its an open star cluster located in the constellation of Ta**us. Situated roughly 440 light-years from Earth, it is one of the closest and most vivid star clusters visible to the naked eye, appearing like a miniature, shimmering dipper in the night sky.

With our smart telescope now you can see this star cluster up close during our aurora hunting tour as we wait for aurora to show up.
