In one of the most anticipated ship debuts, the new Disney Adventure has arrived in Port Canaveral. The ship formally owned by the Genting Hong Kong corporation before its bankruptcy during the COVID pandemic, was bought by Disney and converted into what is now the largest ship in the fleet. The ship will depart for Asia towards the end of the month where it will serve this quickly growing market.

Guests on the 12/28 Rhapsody of the Seas sailing were notified via email that they will utilize a tender boat to visit Cozumel on 1/1/26.

While not identifying the conflict it is interesting to note that the will port at with and the will be at the International Pier where Royal ships typically dock. and will dock at where carnivalcorporation ships typically dock. Their pier can handle up to four ships so it is not clear why the Rhapsody will need to tender.

Cruise News You Can Use believes the Rhapsody will tender near Punta Langosta and the tourist area near the Celebrity Constellation.

returning to Tampa early Saturday due to medical emergency

Captain Fernando just announced to the ship that due to a medical emergency Rhapsody of the seas will be returning to Tampa at about 6:30 AM Saturday morning. The Rhapsody is currently on day six of a seven night holiday cruise and originally scheduled to return to Tampa on Sunday, December 29.

Once getting closer to Tampa Bay, the passenger will be medically evacuated and receive care. Guests will remain aboard and de-bark as scheduled on Sunday. It is likely the Rhapsody will then return to international Waters in the prior for the remainder of the day on Saturday 12/27.

The Captain was clear no guests or crew will depart the ship until Sunday in cooperation with U.S. Customs. The and will be in porttampabay on Saturday filling all cruise ship berths. In a move countering the upcoming Carnival Rewards program, Royal Caribbean has introduced a long awaited plan for loyal cruisers to earn points towards their brand of choice while cruising on or

After January 30, 2026 guests can cruise with any line within the brand and points will be credited to the brand they’re most loyal to. Additionally guests will continue to enjoy benefits from upper levels of all lines through status matching which was introduced several years back. sees this as a huge win for consumers as other leading parent companies have little to nothing in place to encourage guests to try other lines within their brand portfolios.

Carnival Cruise Line when introducing their new m program is actually removing benefits from cruisers who do not reach the diamond level by the end of summer 2026, spend an average $15,000 per year with the line to reach it’s highest level moving forward. Guests will enjoy rewards for two years and then have that time to earn back their status for the next two years.

Guests aboard an upcoming cruise were notified they would not be able to preview the club and received the message below. Work is progressing, but there are a number of projects still ongoing AND which need to be started. Time will tell!
