Back again. This time — to change Socotra tourism forever.
You remember the pink hat, the heels, the long dress…
That was just the beginning.
👗 Yes, I had a suitcase full of outfits.
At first — just for myself, to create content for Instagram.
We drove across the island, made photoshoots, posed on cliffs and dunes.
Simple idea: we need photos if we’re opening a company.
📸 Plot twist: I had worked for years on TV, proud of my eye for frames.
But Ahmed… turned out to be an amazing photographer. Even world-famous photographer Kristina Makeeva noticed his gift.
So later Socotra became our studio.
And soon our guests wore the dresses we’ve brought for photo shoots — creating magical moments to take home forever.
A tragedy could happen - my near-Darwin Award moment.
In the dragon blood forest, I swallowed a vitamin the wrong way.
It got stuck. I couldn’t breathe.
And for a few seconds I thought: “This is how it ends. On Socotra. Because of a vitamin.”
But Ahmed knew what to do.
One quick move — and I was breathing again.
That was my second revelation: with this partner, I would never be lost.
And then came a moment that touched me even deeper.
Passing through a small village, we met a boy with special needs.
He smiled at Ahmed’s T-shirt.
Without thinking twice, Ahmed took it off and offered him.
The boy’s joy was so pure, I nearly cried.
That’s when I knew: this philosophy wasn’t just mine. We both lived it.
Because Amur Teibe was never just about tours.
From the start, its DNA was clear:
🌿 Guests — cared for like friends, with beauty and comfort.
🌿 Team — respected, paid fairly, rewarded with bonuses.
🌿 Island — supported, from cleaning projects to nurseries of dragon blood trees, to helping families with food and supplies.
This is why we never call people “tourists.”
They are our guests.
Because a tourist comes and goes.
But a guest leaves a mark — in your memory, and in the memory of the island.
