The Red Thread

This work was born from a feeling I have carried with me for a long time: that nothing and no one enters our life by chance.

The three canvases represent different moments, different people, different chapters. At first glance they seem separate, yet a vibrant red line runs through them all. For me, that red thread symbolizes the invisible connections that continue to exist, even when distance, time, or silence stand between us.

The rough textures tell the story of life itself, of wounds, growth, resilience, and beauty. The white spaces are moments of peace, reflection, and trust. They remind us that not every answer needs to be spoken; some things are simply felt.

When I created this piece, I was thinking about those rare connections that touch something deep within us. The people who cross our path and leave an imprint on our heart. Even when life takes us in different directions, a part of that connection remains.

Today I turned 60… and according to Chinese astrology, it means I was born in the year of the Fire Horse.
Which is supposed to stand for strength, energy, a big heart, independence, passion and a strong will.
I had to smile when I read that… because yes, I can be a little strong willed indeed 😅

Today I received such beautiful words, cards , gifts and messages that it truly touched me.

Thanks all for the love today, for the kindness, for the friendship and for walking part of this path with me.
I feel grateful, blessed, and still full of plans.

60 sounds like a number,
but to me it feels like a new chapter.
With fire, a big heart… and still a little bit of my own will 💫

This painting was inspired by the quiet magic of sunrise , the moment when the first warm light slowly colors the sky. The copper, gold and deep red tones reflect that fragile instant when night gently releases the day.
