You can tell when a place has become part of a friendship by the way people talk about it. Nobody needs to name the lake or explain which café. Everyone knows.

We shot Feels Like You over two days in July in the Briançonnais, with three friends, British and French, who have been coming here since they were small, and a conversation that drifts between the two languages without anyone deciding which.
There is no itinerary in it. There is coffee, a slow ride out towards Névache, a game of tennis that nobody keeps score of, a lake that is colder than everyone remembers, and a lunch that carries on into the afternoon. Some of the scenes go back years, the same three running down the same track as children. The friends have changed. The valley is where they left it.

It is the kind of summer we watch people have here, year after year, once somewhere has stopped being a place they go and become a place they come back to.
