Col d’Aubisque will soon open for 2023.
But why was this constructed into the cliffside in the first place? We can thank Eugénie, wife of Napoleon III, who wanted to travel between the thermal sources of Eaux-Bonnes & Argelès-Gazost. It featured in the infamous 1910 Tour de France as a gravel track.

Hautacam is one of the most technical climbs in the . On paper, the avg gradient of 7.8% looks doable but the reality is it’s a series of steep ramps & flats, making it hard to find a rhythm. It’s a true challenge that is perfect for a sunset spin.
