I’m looking for advice on taking a child to DLP with sensory issues. They would be 6 or 7 when I hope to go. They get upset by loud noises especially clapping and laughing if it’s not expected. Overall I’m sure they’d absolutely love DLP but I’m wondering if there’s anything I can do to help with their sensory issues, or if there’s anything I should avoid. They’ve never needed ear defenders before but I may take some as a back up. Have other parents taken children with sensory issues and their child has still had an amazing time & been able to cope? Is it still worth a visit for example if we aren’t able to watch shows or fireworks because it’s too overwhelming for them?

Also my other child has a physical difference which is noticeable. I’m nervous about how others may be with them. The U.K. is overall accepting of people born with differences but I’m concerned that others may not be and I’m worried if people are staring at my child that it will upset me & ruin the holiday & experience. I’m guessing while walking around the park other guests will be too busy to notice but I worry about when we are swimming in the hotel or waiting in queues or eating out.

I was just wondering how others have found DLP when they have children with sensory issues or a physical difference. Is it still wonderful and magical? Thank you

🥪 We tried out the Super Diner on our last trip - a hidden gem in Avengers Campus with an awesome history. Definitely recommend checking it out, the toastiest were awesome!!
