Le Cerisier Le Cerisier: a small and friendly traditional rural home in France. Probably about 200 years old and once a warm shelter to animals.

Now it looks after people and pets. Le Cerisier is a holiday gite in rural 'French' France. Situated on the Normandy Mayenne border, it is surrounded by beautiful, peaceful countryside. Close by are the picturesque towns of Lassay-Les-Chateaux and Bagnoles de L'Orne. 10 minutes by car is La Forêt des Andaines which has many footpaths for walking, biking and riding. or a day trip are the Normandy landing beaches, the town of Bayeaux with its Tapestry and the Chateaux of the Loire. Paris is also possible by TGV from Le Mans. Le Cerisier is being fitted to the highest standard with modern well equipped kitchen, wifi internet access and satellite TV. It has three bedrooms (2 doubles and a twin) and 2 bathrooms, comfortably sleeping 6. Indoor entertainment includes DVD player and a Wii games console. Outside there is a small garden with outdoor furniture and barbecue. So whether your style of holiday is lying in a hammock, reading with a glass of wine, walking/mountain biking/riding in the forest or people watching in a chic pavement cafe - there is something for you. We have almost completed the renovations and hope to be open for bookings this Summer 2012. Le Mans was a lovely day out. Fortunately we didn't take a wrong turn and end up driving in circles like maniacs for 24 hours. Oh, and we had a beautiful forest walk en route.

I have no idea if anyone is still following this page, but it would be nice to know if you are. If you know the little house, which we've become so fond of, you might like to see recent pictures. It was in great shape anyway, but we've made some changes. Love to all from le Cerisier!
