St-Jean-de-Cole is one of France's most beautiful villages and is only 20 minutes from our gite. It's a great place to have lunch, especially down by the river.

This massive cruise liner was moored in Bordeaux last week. The mayor of Bordeaux is hoping to get cruise liners banned as they are an eye saw, and hopes to get them relocated upstream, with coaches into the centre. I do have to say it was a huge ugly thing, so I do have to agree with him. What do you think?

We have both frogs and toads in our garden. Frogs are smaller and have smoother skin; toads are more dumpy with shorter legs. However, both enjoy a dip in our pool when no one's looking!

« On dirait moi. »
Et j’ai adoré ça.

On m’a traitée de rebelle, d’insolente, voire de vulgaire.
Mais jamais d’obéissante.

J’ai vu les guerres tout emporter.
J’ai vu mes boutiques fermer pendant l’Occupation.
J’ai entendu :
« Chanel, c’est fini. Son temps est révolu. »

— Coco Chanel
