On 24th January in Romania is celebrated the Day of the Unification of the Romanian Principalities and it commemorates the union of Moldavia with Wallachia from 1859 under prince Alexandru Ioan Cuza . This was the first step that led to the Big Unification from 1st December 1918 when the Kingdom of Romania was united also with Transylvania, Banat, Crisana and Maramures establishing the moder Romania.
This year we celebrated in the center of our city, watching the beautiful fireworks.

Even though we didn’t think we will get to see Sibiu’s Christmas market this season, it seems that we did. We woke up in 2nd of January in the mood to go somewhere away from the fog, so we quickly checked the webcams from other cities and we’ve decided to go to Sibiu. It was a great idea because the city felt like holidays weren’t over and we’ve enjoyed one more day in this spirit. 🎁🎄🎀
