It’s no secret that for most people, books are a sense of grounding, familiarity and overall warmth and comfort. Leakey’s Bookshop is a family-owned treasure trove which has been selling used and antiquarian books, maps and prints in Inverness since 1979.

As if plucked straight out of a Victorian novel, you can explore the labyrinths of shelves which are stacked high with books that have been passed on through the generations, all the while inhaling that familiar ‘musty book’ smell that is hard not to feel comforted by.

A little late but I finally unboxed my award today! 📹

It feels quite cliché to say but being on YouTube has quite literally changed my life and I had no idea where it would all lead when Antoine and I started the channel a few years ago 🎬

Not only has it become a job, but I’ve also learned how to edit and craft travel documentaries, how to interview people, and learned lots of cool stuff about the world along the way. 🗺️

I feel grateful to be able to work as part of an amazing team (my sister Charlotte and husband Antoine work with me) and for all of the amazing people we’ve met while filming. 🧳

If you’re subscribed thanks for following along! See you in the next video 🎞️

Glencoe, Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Glencoe is perhaps best known for its dramatic, sweeping Highland hills, remarkable geological formations, and breathtaking scenery. It’s often cited as one of the most beautiful places in Scotland. As such, it has also been the backdrop for many films, including Skyfall, Harry Potter, Braveheart, and Highlander.

Looking for your next movie recommendation? 🎞️

I love how movies can transport you somewhere else, even if it’s just from the comfort of your sofa. Here are some of my top movie picks, all of which are mostly set in places I’ve been. While not every scene was filmed exactly there, they still exude that wanderlust and charm that make you feel like visiting that destination (even though Ray says, « Bruges is a sh***ole. I don’t like it one bit »😅)

So, here’s a little collection, along with a few filming locations that you can actually visit. After all, visiting filming locations is a fun way to connect with a place. Swipe through if you want a mini cinematic tour of films that made me fall in love with these cities, and hopefully will inspire you too! Leave your own suggestions in the comments below. 🎬 🍿 ✨

Rome is always a good idea 🇮🇹

I love exploring Rome on foot, walking past monuments which have been standing for millennia, but it’s also a fun city to explore on a scooter or open-top car 🛵

Best markets in London 🇬🇧

London is littered with thriving street markets and marketplaces, each bursting with character, creativity, and culture.
