Paris continues its transformation into a greener and friendlier city. This also applies to the area around Gare du Nord, Europe's busiest train station. The square in front of the beautiful neoclassical building is soon to be completed and has been given a facelift. Now it will also be planted as many other famous places in Paris have been in recent years. The area between the two train stations Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est is becoming nicer and better connected. Several new hotels have been built and the existing ones have been given a radical facelift. The old fire station within walking distance is today an exciting event venue and a center for the development of sustainable fashion. If you want to know more, get in touch!

Discover the area of Plaine Saint Denis, a really interesting district for all kinds of groups !

The transformation of the Olympic village to an ecological village with apartments, parks…. Hotels just opened and more to come, Luc Besson cinema studio, street art Avenue along the Canal. Stade de France, the Olympique aquatique Centre … The area is influenced by the Olympic games and sport will be a big part of the future as well when they build new and renovate old buildings.

Just before the games they opened a new metro station, line 14 that takes you through all Paris, with a construction of 3 more metro lines. The Station itself is an interesting architectural building that will also host a cultural space.

Fra Menton til Liguria nå i høst. Menton: Sitronen og havet, Jean Cocteau, overdådige villaer oppført av bl.a rike engelskmenn som flyktet fra vinter og smog og grunnla turismen på rivieran. Gamlebyen med de trange gatene, vakre kirker og markeder. 25° i luften og 🌅 Pastakurs, tortellini med sitronfyll. Kokken Mauro Colagreco som preger gastronomien i byen på alle nivå fra Mirazur restauranten via brasserie til pizzeria. Den høytliggende Landsbyen Roquebrune-Cap-Martin med historiefortelling og et 2000 (!) år gammelt oliventre 🌳 som skuer utover Middelhavet og Cap-Martin. Hagekonsert ved arkitekten Eileen Gray's funksjonalistiske Villa E-1027. Hun var nær venn av Le Coubusier.
De fantastiske og frodige hagene langs den franske og Italienske rivieraen, i Menton besøkte vi "Serre de la Madone" skapt av amerikaneren Lawrence Johnston med spennende planter fra hele verden. Og så 🥗🍲🥂 så klart 😋En autentisk og vakker destinasjon 😌

Dashing through Burgundy approaching Lyon on the TGV train to Nice.
Then follows a packed program visiting the french and Italian riviera. First we stay in Menton and then to Liguria and San Remo. It's all being organized by Côte d'Azur France Tourisme and partners Menton Riviera Merveilles and La Mia Liguria. It is crucial for us in Rolig & Rolig to keep on learning and (re-)discovering destinations and so therefore we regularely go on our own or attend organized educational trips to be able to transmit the taste, culture and possibilities for groups. We also open our eyes for local industries everywhere we go to find synergies to Scandinavian businesses as a backdrop to how we think and communicate about destinations. More to follow from the sunny south 😌🌅
