You can wake up at L’abeille d’orée, enjoy a relaxed breakfast, and within an hour and a half — a 45 minute drive followed by a quick train ride — you’re strolling through the heart of Bordeaux, one of France’s most beautiful and vibrant cities and also the world capital of wine 🍷

After much deliberation with lots of wine 🍷 and cheese 🧀 we have decided on a change of house name from cheesy Chez Jez to L’abielle d’oree (pronounced La Bay Dor Ray) and it means Golden Bee 🐝… therefore, our little Welsh 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 neighbourhood in Fabulous France 🇫🇷 has a white dragonfly, green mouse and now a golden bee 🙌🏻… I wonder what’s next 🤔

Welcome to Chez Jez !!
My favourite place and holiday home in Videix, Haute-Vienne, France 🇫🇷
The house is 5 minute walk from one of the main Charente Lakes with a beach and bar restaurant and a 20 minute walk around the large lake to another beach with beach bar & restaurant, water sports centre and English pub (if that’s your thing 😉)
The house has 2 en suite bedrooms and a bed settee and downstairs bathroom so caters for 4-6
The garden has the sun all day and you’ll have bbq, pizza oven to use
Fully functional kitchen and 10 mins drive to a market town with supermarkets, cafes , bakeries and chateau
It’s a beautiful place for activities or just to rest
