South Chesthill Estate offers two comfortable and completely private properties available as holiday lets all year round, with or without fishing/stalking included. The estate has roughly six miles of river and 7,000 acres to explore, and is situated at the eastern end of Glenlyon. The River Lyon runs through the glen: it rushes through rocky gorges at the east end of the estate then broadens and

softens amongst meadows at the west end. Steep hills rise either side of the glen and the tops are carpeted in heather with remnants of the ancient Caledonian forest visible at the westerly end. The estate offers hills for walking, some of the most breathtaking deer stalking in Scotland (c. 124 stags and hinds per year), some of the most varied salmon fishing in Scotland (four miles of the river Lyon, average 46 salmon over last three years), trout fishing, escorted nature walks, photography stalking, and clay pigeon shooting. Pony trekking, golf, and water sports are also all available in the area, making Glenlyon the perfect country getaway.

🌳Winter Hind Stalking at South Chesthill🌳

“Experience Scotland’s most beautiful Glen”

Chesthill House in Glen Lyon sleeps 16 and comes with 7000 acres. Just along the track is Gardeners Cottage which sleeps 4 and has a wood fired hot tub.

Experience an iconic Scottish tradition: stalking wild deer amongst stunning scenery. We pride ourselves on working carefully to keep nature in balance, offering you some of Scotland’s finest and most ethical deer hunting. A professional stalker, a rifle and ammunition is provided and all experience levels are welcome. We will provide training for beginners and many people have shot their first deer with us. Steep terrain and beautiful scenery make for an unforgettable experience 🌳🌳🌳🌳

Availability & prices

13th to 25th November, 3rd December to 32st December 2023 - Chesthill House, £4000 per week, hind stalking extra @£325 per day

7th January to 17th February 2024, Chesthill House, £4500 per week, hind stalking extra @£390 per day

Availability at Gardeners Cottage, 12th November to 10th December 2023, £700 per week plus hind stalking extra @£325 per day

14th January to 15th February 2024 - Gardeners Cottage, £775 per week, hind stalking extra @£390 per day

We can also offer hind stalking by the day without accommodation,

For 2023 the price per person per day is £380.

For 2024 the price per person per day is £440
