In 1960 David Joseph Evans and his wife Vera Mary Evans purchased 3 vehicles and a small piece of land from Morgan Bros., Brynhyfryd, and that was the beginning of Evansโ€™ Coaches. As the business continued to grow David and Vera were joined by their children, Elsie, Selwyn and Melvyn as they each left school. In 1988 Evansโ€™ Coaches purchased Mid Wales Motorways (1963) Ltd / Mid Wales Travel, based

in Newtown, and then joined the two companies together in 1990. Over the year's our experience of coach travel has enabled us to provide a 1st class coach service to the people of Mid Wales. Once the service leaves Aberystwyth bus station it will divert off route and re join it's normal route at the top of Third Avenue.
This is due to an emergency road closure on Mill Street.

Starting this Thursday, 5th February, the junction at Commins Coch connecting to the A487 will be closed for cycle path construction. This closure is expected to remain in place until May 2026.

We know thereโ€™s been some confusion regarding how buses will run during the upcoming closure at Comins Coch.

To make your journey as smooth as possible, weโ€™ve put together a handy map to show exactly which stops are being served by which buses.

Service T2 and T28 will continue to serve the Waun running via Rhoshendre and Maesceinion, picking up at the Bus Shelter on Maesceinion only and then all stops along Waunfawr Road.

We hope this helps clear things up and gets you where you need to go!
