💙 JOLIE JARDIN 💙

📷 You could point your camera in any direction while blindfolded in the Jardin Majorelle, and still end up with beautiful photos.

🌵This garden is one of the most famous sites in Marrakech and I loved it so much that I decided to make it the first stop on my second visit to the city.

Here are my tips if you're planning a visit:

🎟️You can buy a combined ticket for the Jardin Majorelle and the much newer Yves Saint Laurent Museum (which opened in 2017) giving you a small discount - worthwhile if you are planning on visiting both but you have to tick off the garden first.

⌚I booked a lunchtime slot so we would have the whole afternoon to explore - but my advice for photographers is to consider a time towards the end of the afternoon when the sunlight is less harsh - while still leaving enough time to linger and wait for a quiet moment if you don't want all your shots photobombed by other tourists 😉

☕ There is a picturesque cafe inside the garden which is open throughout the day serving Moroccan breakfast as well as a la carte lunch.

Calçada Portuguesa are an art form in their own right across Portugal's historic city centres, creating an endless outdoor urban gallery just waiting to be explored.

The pavements of Azores Islands are adorned with their own unique cobblestone creations, from geometric designs to representations of local nature, flowers and fruit.

These islands also export volcanic basalt stone to the mainland, where it is used to create new designs of pavement patterns all over Portugal.
