I’m off to India for 2 weeks! Yikes!

Two weeks away… from my husband, my kids, my usual four walls, building this business from a suitcase instead of a kitchen table (to be clear, that’s often where I work, not evidence I’m the one doing the cooking).

If I’m completely honest, it’s not excitement at the moment. There’s a lot of guilt tangled up in there too. If you’re a working parent you know the feeling. The 2am “am I doing the right thing” spiral. I’m up. I’m down. Appreciating the everyday stuff. Glad I’m not doing the everyday stuff for a couple of weeks. Feeling empowered. Feeling guilty. It’s a rollercoaster.

I LOVE and Julia Donaldson’s Room on the Broom but I’m quite looking forward to not reading it for the 80 thousandth time.

But simmering in the background is a quieter belief that this is exactly the right thing for my business and for me.

I’m a strong believer that travel does something special. It takes you out of your echo chamber and gives you the room to breathe. It reminds you that the world is bigger, stranger and more beautiful than whatever is sat in your inbox today.

I’m VERY privileged to be going on this trip. And I will enjoy every second!

So this one’s for any parent who’s ever needed permission to go and do the thing that scares her a bit. Consider this your push.

I’ll be sharing the whole trip here so come along.

One month to go: India is calling 🇮🇳✨

After designing incredible India adventures for my clients, it is my turn to experience this magical country first-hand… and I could not be more excited to be heading off in September.

I will be following a 9-night Golden Triangle journey with a twist: combining iconic cities with wildlife and river landscapes. Followed by 5 nights in the backwaters of Kerala.

▪️ Delhi: Time to settle in, adjust and soak up the sights, sounds and flavours of India’s capital
▪️ Ranthambhore: Immersive days in one of India’s most storied national parks, with morning and afternoon safaris in search of deer, birdlife and, with luck, the elusive Bengal tiger
▪️ Jaipur: Exploring the Pink City’s royal heritage, from grand palaces and astronomical wonders to colourful bazaars bursting with textiles, jewellery and street snacks
▪️ Agra: A day devoted to Mughal grandeur, taking in the Taj Mahal at its most atmospheric and contrasting it with the mighty Agra Fort
▪️ Chambal: A quieter, more rural interlude shaped by river landscapes, heritage village walks and a gentler pace that shows a different side of North India
▪️ New Delhi: Time in one of the city’s most characterful areas, including an Old Delhi walking tour and a New Delhi city tour that weaves together spirituality, history and the grand avenues of Lutyens’ Delhi
▪️ Kerala: Leaving the Golden Triangle behind for the serene backwaters, vibrant spice plantations and cultural heritage - think houseboats and Ayurvedic retreats and homestays

Throughout, I will be travelling with private transfers, knowledgeable local guides and carefully planned experiences that balance big-name landmarks with more intimate, meaningful encounters.

I will be sharing highlights, tips and honest insights as I go, so if India is on your wish list for 2026 or 2027, keep an eye on my updates.

If you would love a Golden Triangle journey curated just for you, with the right pace, experiences and level of comfort, send me a message and let us start planning your own Indian adventure.

One week in Pollenca. If you love your authentic Mallorcan towns, then this is for you. OK, of course there’s tourism here but Pollenca has a a real local vibe to it. As you wander down the tight streets you’re walking past locals’ family homes and that makes me feel something. There’s a friendliness here that can’t be ignored. There’s a chap at the top of the 365 steps playing his guitar for the love of playing his guitar greeting every person who’d dared to attempt the climb in 35 degree heat. My son said “he is the kindest man I think I have ever met”. It’s little moments like that that make a holiday.

The shopping. Great. The food. Great. The atmosphere. Great. The views. Great. The architecture. Unassumingly great.

Pollenca you have my heart.

This little boutique hotel, , deserves a space on my page. 🌿

Tucked down a lovely backstreet in Pollença — it doesn’t even want to be found, which is very on brand — even the signage is designed to be quiet. It feels like stepping into your own private spa day, right down to their signature scent, which took me straight back to my most relaxing spa moments. Everything about this place calms your nervous system — the smell, the ambiance, the sound.

Breakfast might be my favourite part, though. The kitchen’s small and open, so you end up chatting with the chef while they make you whatever you’re craving. It’s simple, unhurried and yum.

It’s adults-only so I didn’t get to stay (RIP 🙏), but I was lucky enough to visit one morning, and it was enough to fall completely in love. Just steps away, Pollença unfolds into little streets and alleys lined with boutiques and restaurants, the kind of town made for slow wandering and even slower lunches.

Pirates vs. the town of Pollença, and we had absolutely no idea what was happening 🏴‍☠️⚔️

Turns out this is no ordinary reenactment. Every August 2nd, the whole town relives a real 1550 raid, when pirates attacked the town and the locals fought back and won.

The battle starts at dawn with a battle cry then spills through the entire town until the pirates are driven out and the flag is recaptured.

We just followed the noise, the smoke, and the crowd. Pure local tradition happening right in front of us.

Sometimes the best travel moments are the ones you stumble into completely unprepared. 10/10 would get swept up in a 16th-century pirate invasion again. 🇪🇸

Deia! A short but slightly scary drive full of hairpin bends and sheer drops from Soller is a magical hilltop village called Deia. The light, the views, the colours are perfection. Artist workshops and wellness retreats abound and I can completely see why. Simply stunning.

Life lately in Soller, Mallorca. Stunning sunsets, great food, delicious family meals, vintage trams to the beach, mind blowing scenery, cobbled streets, lazy mornings at delightful bakeries, and beautiful architecture.

Travelling with a disability - invisible or not - I’m here to help. I put my pride aside today and got “invisible disability” support with Ryan Air and AENA support at Palma airport. I’ll let you know how it all pans out because travelling with any disability or need that requires special assistance can be overwhelming. Whether it’s special educational needs, physical disability or dementia I can help. Everyone has the right to travel world. Much love.
