🍄 Families staying at the Efteling Grand Hotel have exclusive entrance to the enchanting fairytale forest after Efteling theme park has closed for the day.

🌳 ✨You can wander through the forest, and enjoy all of its fairytale delights until 10pm each day. Not only will this make your time in the forest quieter, it will also give you even more time to enjoy the rest of Efteling (and the Grand Hotel) throughout the day.

In June we (Laura and family) spent a couple of nights at our recently added park, Dierenbos. This is a lovely park within easy reach of both Beekse Bergen and Efteling (1 day entry to Beekse Bergen Safari Park and Speelland is included in your stay).

It has a lake beach, indoor and outdoor play areas, indoor and outdoor pools and farm animals! It’s a little sister to Beekse Bergen so animals are a strong theme here! 🐐

They also have some new 6 person tree tents by the lake which have a slide and a hot tub! They also have aircon. A Mon to Fri stay arriving on 31/5/27 is currently €714 with the early booking discount, based on a family of 4.

We absolutely love the Netherlands and can’t wait to keep exploring all it has to offer with the help of Little Clogs and their recommendations. 📍Landal Hoog Vaals is in beautiful Limburg, just 7 mins from the Drielandenpunt where Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands meet.

Onsite you can find an indoor pool, indoor and outdoor play areas, bowling, mini golf, sports pitch, indoor activity centre and activities for all ages.

Nearby is Gaia Zoo (15 mins), and the pretty town of Vaals is a 15 min walk away.

As we see autumn unfold, we’re reminded of the beginnings of Little Clogs Holidays. 🍂

It was amidst the calm colours and beautiful sights of autumn that we visited some holiday parks with a view to adding them to our collection. We’d already spent many years enjoying Dutch holiday parks ourselves, but this was the start of doing what we loved with Little Clogs in mind.

Beekse Bergen is a amazing resort, doable without a car and easy to combine with other places as part of a multi-centre trip too!

🌳 Landal Het Vennenbos is in a great location close to many popular days out including Efteling and Beekse Bergen.

🛝 Whether you choose Het Vennenbos as part of a multi-centre holiday, or as a stand alone holiday park, there is plenty to keep all the family happy.

💦 The main building which houses most of the entertainment, restaurants, shops and the fab subtropical pool complex is a great place to meet new friends and join in family fun.
