Today, Tuesday 28th April 2026, I visited Corwen to see the statue of Owain Glyndwr and his horse placed back in their rightful place.

A guiding friend and I attended the event. We met the sculptor, Colin Spofforth, and had a conversation with him about the statue.

Did you know that Amlwch harbour is full of hidden gems?

Parys Mountain and the associated copper mine dominates conversations, when you mention Amlwch. The harbour was an important part of Amlwch's copper history.

My walks, along the harbour, shows some of the history of the harbour. Some of the facts I talk about, in no particular order:
⛵️ship building and maintance
⛵️the two mills that are connected to the harbour (one saw mill and one corn mill)
⛵️filming for TV (including adverts)
⛵️copper industry

I have several walking tours over the summer, giving an introduction to some of the harbour's history.

One of my favourite things to do, when visiting a church, is sit quietly in the churchyard.

Today (23rd April 2026) I visited Saint Michael's church in Penrhoslligwy, Anglesey.

The church is a beautiful hidden gem and I always find it peaceful when I visit. It is one of several churches that I like to visit regularly.
