Kenozero National Park have opened a second classroom exploring geology and nature in the Park. The colorful and welcoming rooms function as visitor centers, classrooms and community meeting rooms. Modern displays and virtual reality technology showcase centuries of natural heritage linking Kenozero to sites around the world!

Well done to all involved

Both classrooms were possible thanks to the Drifting Apart project - funded through the Northern Peripheries and Arctic Region programme

Causeway Coast and Glens Heritage Trust was delighted to receive this update from Limavady Memorials yesterday afternoon showing progress on installation of beautiful new benches created from locally sourced stone and reflecting the geology underfoot in the Binevenagh AONB. These guys are fantastic at creating stories in stone ⛰️

This project is part of the Drifting Apart project funded through the Northern Periphery and Arctic Programme 2014-2020 of the European Regional Development Fund.

From Canada to NW Europe and Russia you will get expert commentary and multimedia which explains the landscapes and heritage of the Northern Periphery and Arctic region.😎 (requires a good broadband or 3G internet connection)

Great to see the UNESCO Earth Sciences & Geohazards Risk Reduction, UNESCO Global Geoparks and Drifting Apart partners promoting the work of the network at the ITB Berlin two weeks ago.

Amazing to have the new sustainable virtual reality visit experience developed through Drifting Apart (GeoVR) on display to the international market.
