☀️ OFF-SEASON TRAVEL – IS IT FOR YOU? 🌦️✈️

We’re currently enjoying the beautiful Greek island of Samos, staying in a stunning 5⭐ hotel in a gorgeous swim-up suite. And the best bit? This holiday cost us 60% LESS than a similar holiday in peak season! 😍

But there is a trade-off… the weather! ☀️⛈️

Yesterday, we enjoyed a lovely walk along the beach into the picturesque town of Pythagorion, with temperatures around 23°C. After eating nothing since our early morning inflight breakfast, we found a lovely restaurant and enjoyed the most delicious pizza! 🍕

We got chatting to the restaurant staff about how peaceful the island is at this time of year. Fewer crowds, a slower pace and the opportunity to explore without the hustle and bustle of peak season. We loved experiencing Croatia out of season earlier this year too!

And then, just before our food arrived… the heavens opened! ☔😂

Since then, we’ve had a thunderstorm and even weather warnings for strong winds! But we knew this was a possibility when we booked an October getaway.

The forecast is looking brighter for a couple of days, and in the meantime, we have a fabulous hotel spa to enjoy and we’ll definitely be hiring a car to explore more of this beautiful island. A bit of rain certainly won’t stop us!

So why do we love off-season travel?

🌴 Better value – sometimes you can enjoy a little more luxury for a lot less money!

🏖️ Fewer crowds – quieter beaches, restaurants and attractions.

🚗 More opportunities to explore – comfortable temperatures can make sightseeing much more enjoyable.

💙 A different experience – seeing destinations at a slower pace and getting a glimpse of local life outside the busy tourist season.

Of course, there are compromises. The weather can be unpredictable, some restaurants and attractions may be closed, and if your dream holiday involves guaranteed sunshine and long days around the pool, travelling out of season might not be your ideal choice!

And that’s exactly why we take the time to get to know our clients! What feels like a perfect holiday to one person could be completely wrong for another.

For us, the huge saving, a gorgeous swim-up suite and the chance to explore somewhere new make it absolutely worthwhile. Even if we do need an umbrella! 😂☂️
