Did you know that half of mental health issues develop by age 12 (Place2Be)?

As some of you may know, over the last six months, I've been working with The Space as Fundraising Lead.

The Space operate across the Cheddar Valley, supporting children and young people aged 4–17 through counselling, play therapy, and youth activities. They also work closely with parent carers and partner with Wessex Learning Trust to provide early help before the problem becomes crises.

Like many small charities, The Space relies on funding, donations and grants. One of the ways I'm helping them - and helping businesses boost their visibility - is through a new Business Banner initiative.

The pull‑up banner will feature your business logo throughout all of our 2026 events and will also be used as a photo backdrop, giving your brand repeated visibility in event photography, social media posts, and press coverage.

I'm looking for local, regional and national businesses that would like to be part of this opportunity.

For a small one-off fee, your logo could be visible in front of thousands of people across our 2026 events. Showing your commitment to supporting charity and children's wellbeing.

The first event is on April 26, the Cheddar Valley Rugby Festival that welcomes visitors from across the UK.

To be included, you’ll need to act quickly - artwork is due by the end of this week so the banner can be printed in time!

The cost?
For a one‑off fee of £200, your logo will be displayed on the banner for a full year.

Your £200 sponsorship helps fund vital counselling, play therapy, and early intervention for children and young people in the Cheddar Valley, giving them the support they need at the time they need it most.

CheddarLocal is a business directory website that to build online presence, local reputation and encourage website visits. 📍

Since going live....almost 2000 people have visited the site, with almost 900 return visitors. And all organically (meaning, I haven't done any paid advertising).

And even more so with the Facebook and Instagram pages.
