Thinking about summer 2027? Now is a good time to start looking beyond the obvious.
We always keeping an eye on travel trends, emerging destinations and the holiday hotspots that are starting to get people talking.

Not because I can predict the future, but because I enjoy finding the places that are a little less obvious — and getting to know them before I recommend them to clients.

Two that have caught my attention recently?

Himarë, Albania and Con Dao, Vietnam.
Himarë really interests me for anyone who loves the Mediterranean but wants something that feels a bit different.

Beautiful coastline, relaxed atmosphere, great food and a less developed feel than some of the better-known European resorts.

Con Dao is a completely different experience.
Quieter, more remote and surrounded by incredible nature and beaches. For someone who has already ticked off the obvious Vietnam destinations and wants to discover somewhere more unusual, I think it’s well worth considering.

And this is where I think a good Travel Consultant adds real value.
You don’t need to spend hours researching every emerging destination, comparing hundreds of hotels and trying to work out whether somewhere will actually suit you.

WHAT SPORTING MOMENT WOULD YOU LOVE TO EXPERIENCE LIVE?

This summer’s men’s FIFA World Cup has been a brilliant reminder of why we love sport.

There’s something about watching a big game unfold, getting caught up in the drama and talking about it afterwards. But it also got us thinking… imagine being there.

THIS IS ONE PASSPORT MISTAKE THAT IS CATCHING UK TRAVELLERS OUT
That little date inside your passport can ruin a holiday faster than a flight delay.

If you’re travelling to Europe (Schengen area), your UK passport usually needs to have been issued less than 10 years before the day you arrive, and have at least 3 months left on the day you plan to leave.
And yes… people still get caught out by this at the airport.

While you’re thinking “we’ll sort it later”, flights sell out, prices move, and the best rooms go. The annoying part? You can do everything right and still be stopped by a passport that’s technically “in date”.
