Little Glimmers from Spring at Binks Cottage!

Even with a drizzly start in February, we saw those lovely snowdrops pop up in Thornley Village. Then March brought out the vibrant crocuses on the village green, and wow, what a dry but absolutely beautiful March, April, and May we've had here!

It's been a real treat watching everything unfold. And there's so much more to look forward to this year in our little corner of Durham.

The Thornley Village Plant Sale is happening today at 11:00 AM! 🌸🥕🌿 There are an an exquisite selection of plants this year.

We'll also have delicious local bbq bacon sandwiches, homemade sweet treats, tea and coffee. Plus, a huge range of bric-a-brac.

We welcomed a litter of puppies earlier this year, soon to go to their new homes. The village looks beautiful, the Spring flowers are in full bloom, we have been fortunate to have some good weather so they have lasted well. Calving is underway and lambing just around the corner, 🤞the good weather continues.

We are looking forward to seeing returning guests and welcome anyone new.

A beautiful day for gathering greenery for wreath making at Thornley Village Hall followed by decorating the Church for Christmas.

The Thornley bees have been working hard and we have honey for sale in the box, alongside fresh hen/duck eggs and home produced woodland pork (ask Thomas for details of pork).
