Sell Yourself

Before you go to your interviews prepare between three and five personal selling points. For example, what makes you, in your opinion, the best person for the job. You must also prepare an example for each point, “I am a good communicator, I persuaded my team to...
You should also take the opportunity during the interview to explain why you want that job, in that particular company. Demonstrate your desire to work with them. Tell the interviewer why you want to work in the company, what rewards they offer that appeal to you and how the skill set you have will benefit the company. Show the interviewer that you are really interested in the job on offer, otherwise the interviewer is unlikely to be interested in you.

Success in a job interview starts with a solid foundation of knowledge on the jobseeker’s part. You should understand the employer, the requirements of the job, and the background of the person (or people) interviewing you. The more research you conduct, the more you’ll understand the employer, and the better you’ll be able to answer interview questions, as well as ask insightful questions.
