A particular attraction at Upcott House is the fully enclosed heated 45 foot by 15 foot swimming pool, with a patio and seating area - enjoyable in all weathers.

There is also an area set aside for barbecues and a large, grassed children’s play area with a portable badminton net and a 14-foot trampoline with full safety netting.

At Upcott, we've got a fabulous bar and gamesroom for guests to use.
The bar is cosy, fully licensed and well stocked, and the traditional ‘gentlemen’s’ snooker room has a full size snooker table. So if the weather is not great and you fancy staying 'in' this is a great way to enjoy your stay!

Carriage House - Sleeping 2 to 4 people + cot
As the name suggests, the Carriage House is a conversion of an original building for storing horse-drawn carriages in the past. Now tastefully repurposed, the original carriage archways have been retained as an architectural feature and the interior fitted with the amenities for modern-day living. The building is set in an enclosed traditional Devon cobbled courtyard furnished with tables and chairs for sitting out.

🌳🌳 Did you know that we are a DOG FRIENDLY place to stay? We accept up to 2 dogs in our cottage and apartments and, having lovely countryside grounds to walk in, makes it a perfect place for a get away with the whole family! 🐶🐾

The historic manor is surrounded by beautiful gardens, peaceful woodlands, and open fields that you're free to explore during your stay (please keep dogs on a lead at all times).

There's plenty of space to enjoy a quiet walk, take in the scenery, and also to let kids play safely within the grounds ..... perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing!

If you worry about the unpredictability of the English weather when you visit Devon... we have a few rather good plus points to deal with those rainy days! Here at Upcott House we have a fully enclosed heated 45 foot by 15 foot swimming pool, with a patio and seating area - enjoyable in all weathers.

Plus, inside the main house there is a cosy, fully licensed and well stocked residents’ bar, and a traditional ‘gentlemen’s’ snooker room with a full size snooker table.

So there's plenty to do if the weather turns!

SELF-CATERING FOR 4-5 PEOPLE IN DEVON
Upcott Cottage was originally a summer house for the main manor house. The building has been tastefully restored to retain its original character and furnished with a modern interior.

The detached cottage has been comfortably converted to sleep 4 to 5 people (one of which would be a small child), plus a child’s cot, and has two large bedrooms, a bathroom and shower. The lounge and bedrooms have superb views across the estuary and beyond. The cottage is accessed by steps at the front, where there is a patio area with a table and seating.
