Rachel Dunford Consulting

Rachel Dunford Consulting Specialist support to the education sector: research, evaluation, business planning, problem solving, writing. Hi, I’m Rachel. I am the Impact Specialist.

My passion lies in helping my clients to capture the difference they make to the lives of the people they serve - especially when that difference is something that might feel intangible or unmeasurable. I work with small businesses, charities, large global membership bodies and everyone in between: so long as you want to make a positive impact somewhere, I want to help you achieve that! I began my

career as a management consultant, specialising in complex change programmes and transformed into a solo business founder after having my first child, and I now have 12 years of successful self-employment under my belt. I have built an award-winning evaluation and impact measurement business, successfully helping countless clients to get to the heart of understanding their impact and finding ways to maximise it. I support my clients to focus their efforts on the things that deliver the greatest value and impact and help them make important decisions to stop doing the things that are no longer serving them or their audiences.

Find your people.

Not just the people who do the same job as you. But the people you can talk to about:

– What success actually looks like for you (outside of profit).
– The impact you're trying to make and why it matters.
– Why you care so much about the work you do.

That's why I created The Impactful Community®.

I was looking for a business community that felt warm, human and values-led.

I couldn't find it, so I built it.

We meet twice a month on Zoom. One session is a conversation around a theme linked to impact, things like boundaries, or ethics. The second is a drop-in, ask-me-anything clinic.

We also have a private members portal where we cheer each other on, ask for feedback and share ideas between calls.

Since January 2025, over 240 women have taken part, from Cornwall to Canada.

If you feel like you've been in spaces that weren't quite right for you, or you haven't found your people in business yet, this might be your room.

Membership is £40 a month, with no lock-in and no tie-in period. Come and see for yourself.

Have a look here to see what we’re all about or DM me with any questions.

A lot of organisations come to me saying they need to improve their impact.

But when we actually look at what's happening, that's usually not the issue.

They're already doing good work. It just hasn't been properly understood yet.

They think they need to improve their impact
👉🏻 but actually, they're struggling to explain what they already do in a way that makes sense to other people.

They think they need to do more
👉🏻 but often, they already have results, feedback, or evidence. It just hasn't been pulled together or looked at properly.

They think something isn't working
👉🏻 but when we look closely, parts of it are working really well. They just haven't been spotted or used yet.

They think they need a whole new approach
👉🏻 but sometimes, what they're already doing is making a real difference. They just can't clearly show it.

The work usually isn't the problem. It's being able to clearly see it, explain it, and use it.

If we haven't met, hi, I'm Rachel. I help organisations understand the value of the impact they're already making, so they can use it to make better decisions.

I’m incredibly honoured to share that I'm a finalist in the https://www.instagram.com/eva_awards/ — Customer Service category 🏆

It made me think about what customer service actually means for a business like mine.

I help organisations understand and evidence the difference their work makes. There's no helpdesk. No call centre. Just me, working closely alongside people who care deeply about their impact.

But actually? I think impact and customer service come from exactly the same place.

Making someone feel genuinely understood. Leaving them clearer, more confident and better equipped than before.

That's what I try to do in my work with clients and in the Impactful Community.

Being recognised for this feels really meaningful. I also want to congratulate my brilliant friend and fellow finalist in this category Sarah Johnson https://www.instagram.com/flourishretail/ who I’m very proud of.

And there is a lot more exciting news coming very soon. 👀

Most organisations don't have an impact problem. They have a visibility problem.

The work is good. Often really good. But when it comes to explaining it clearly, things start to feel less certain.

If we haven't met, hi, I'm Rachel. I help organisations understand the value they're already creating, and use that evidence to make better decisions.

What does £40 a month in The Impactful Community® get you?

The Impactful Community® is my community space for thoughtful women who want to stay connected to the difference they make.

It's £40 a month, with no minimum commitment, so you can stay for as long as it feels right.

I've built this carefully over time, listening to what members actually need and shaping it around that.

So yes, there are two Zoom sessions each month, but it's not just that.

There's a private space to stay connected between calls, member spotlights so you can be seen (without having to sell) within and beyond the community, a growing resource bank of tools and templates, a monthly members' newsletter, and the chance to meet in person too, for social get-togethers and real business conversations, because business is even nicer when it's not only conducted through a screen.

If you're a woman in business who wants more honest conversations and to be around people building in a similar way, you'd fit right in.

Most networking spaces will ask you to perfect your intro, talk about your wins and hand out referrals.

We don't pitch.

The Impactful Community® meets twice a month on Zoom.

One session is a facilitated conversation around a theme that actually matters: boundaries, ethics, visibility, legacy. The other is an open drop-in where you bring whatever you're working through and think it through with me and the women in the room.

There's also a private portal where members share ideas, give feedback and collaborate between sessions.

Over 240 women have taken part since January 2025.

If traditional networking has never quite felt right for you, this might.

Do a lot of business spaces feel a bit off to you?

The slightly awkward conversations where people are half listening while thinking about what they're going to say next. The feeling that no one else is building their business quite the way you are. Leaving and thinking...what did I actually get from that?

I didn't want that.

I wanted to create a space where women in business can connect on a deeper level. Where we talk about why we're doing this, the impact we want to have, and how we keep working in a way that actually feels right.

No pressure to impress or perform. No one telling you to push harder, scale faster or hit another 10k month.

The Impactful Community® meets twice a month on Zoom. One session is a themed conversation where we go deep on something that actually matters to the way you run your business. The other is an open space where you bring whatever you're working through right now and think it through with women who get it.

What started as a single monthly meet-up is now a multi-award-winning community network, recognised with Silver Awards for Best Networking Group at the Best Businesswomen Awards 2025 and at the Best SME Awards 2026.

If you've been looking for a space that feels more like this, we'd love you to join us.

No countdown timers. No "only 3 spots left." No pressure.

You can join The Impactful Community® whenever you want, and leave whenever you want. That's a deliberate decision.

I don't want people joining because they feel rushed. I want them to join because it feels like the right space for them.

Most of the women I work with are already making a lot of thoughtful decisions in their businesses. They don't need more pressure layered on top of that.

And I've noticed what this approach does to the community itself.

People come in with intention. They take part properly. They stay because they want to be there.

It also means I have to keep earning my place as the person who holds this space. I have to keep listening, keep shaping it around what people need, and make sure it continues to feel worth being part of.

That matters more to me than filling seats quickly.

If you've been thinking about joining, we'd love to have you. Link in bio to find out more.

My daughter asked me if I'd still work if I won the lottery.

The answer was easy, but maybe not what you might expect.

Yes. But I'd stop doing everything else except running The Impactful Community®.

Not because it's easy, or because I'd be bored without it. Because I know how much it matters.

Business can feel so isolating. Sometimes it feels like you're building something at a different pace, or with different values to everyone around you.

The Impactful Community® is a space where you can meet women who get it. Women who won't judge you for talking honestly about the reality of running a business. Women who will lift you up, celebrate your wins and sit alongside you when you need to think something through.

If you're a woman in business doing things a little differently, and you want conversations that go deeper than "how's your pipeline?" then this community is here for you too.

We meet twice a month on Zoom. Link in bio to find out more.
