This picture, of unknown origin, shows the reality of living in some of the overcrowded cities in the 19th Century.
Many families lived in one room in some of the poorer districts in Belfast and when it came time to clear some of these area in the late 1800s it didn't take much to knock them down.
We talk about what it was like to live in some of these districts in 'Brothels, Babies & Old Belfast': Cathedral Quarter Walking Tour which we're doing this Sunday at 11AM.
