Ballymacdermot - Baile Mhic Dhiarmada - passage tomb circa 3500bc, in County Armagh. It contains three separate burial chambers in a gallery. It was first knowingly opened in 1816 by John Bell from nearby Killeavey Castle and local landowner Jonathan Weaver, who reported they found an urn containing pulverised bone.

At 13 Royal Avenue in Belfast, we find this enigmatic collection of the mysterious bearded man and the woman with a pail on either side of a cartouche. Built in 1885, this was originally intended to extend through to Robb's department store in Castle Place. In 1840 there was a day school on this site, under the charge of a Miss Digby. Then in 1850 it was a business run by Mrs Hoy who imported leeches; she was succeeded by Letitia Russell - also a straw-bonnet maker. Up until recently many will remember it as Tate's Medical Hall.

Pottinger's Entry first appeared as Pottinger's Lean on the 1715 map. It was originally a tightly packed lane of small houses and businesses including the Pottinger Arms Hotel and the Eagle Tavern in the mid 19c.
It is named after the Pottinger family: Thomas Pottinger was the first sovereign of Belfast in 1661 and Sir Henry Pottinger who became the Governor of Hong Kong, Cape of Good Hope and Madras and negotiated the British lease on Hong Kong at the end of the Chinese O***m War in 1842.
