July travel planning starts here ✈️

If you’re looking for destinations that work brilliantly in July without automatically defaulting to the same overcrowded hotspots, these are some of my favourite options for 2026 travel inspiration. Think cool mountain air in Switzerland, safari season beginning in Botswana, food-focused city breaks in San Sebastián, island adventures in The Azores and long summer days across Scandinavia.

I always think July is one of the best months to combine nature, scenery and experiences whether that’s hiking and lake hopping through the Alps, spotting wildlife on safari, road-tripping the West Coast of the United States or diving into the energy of South Korea.
The best July trips tend to book earlier than people expect, especially safari camps, national park lodges and the more design-led boutique hotels across Europe. If you’re thinking about a last minute break or even summer 2027 already, now is honestly the time to start looking.

Travel can leave an impact long after we’ve returned home and some of the most meaningful trips are the ones that benefit the destination as much as the traveller. 🌍

For me, thoughtful travel isn’t about perfection or ticking a “sustainable” box. It’s about choosing experiences that feel more connected, more personal and more respectful to the places we’re lucky enough to visit.

Mexico is having a real moment right now but beyond the well-known beach resorts, there’s so much more to the country than people often realise. ✨
