Good Morning!

Today we are enroute to Morocco 🇲🇦 so it's a day at sea!

Yesterday we had the pleasure of a day in Cartagena, Spain 🇪🇸

This was a new destination for me and 1 I was most looking forward to, for that reason but also for what I had read up about it.

A gorgeous Port City and 1 of the 3 Military Ports that Spain has. As you disembark the ship the port area is very accessible and about a 5-10min amble into the main town. The harbour is a gorgeous place to just stop and watch the world go by!

Coming into the city you are welcomed by a very typical Spanish vibe - not over spoilt by tourists, not overused to become a purpose built holiday destination, it has kept originality whilst embracing tourism.

We did a Tapas Trail whilst here and also took in the Roman Ruins (you would need to have a good level of fitness to access this whole aspect) whilst we were at it. There are some amazing view points through the city and for those that enjoy a hike, you can do this too.

This whole city was very flat, accessible and easy to manoeuvre - we have a child in a buggy so it was very flat and easy to get around.

I would certainly come back and explore more and at a more leisurely pace - also for the Tapas and Sangria 🍹😉

Definitely a destination to add to your next Port of Call or quick City Break. Only about an hour from Murcia too.

For now, its time to see what's instore onboard Azura for the day!
