Just finished my last ever Jacappella lesson after 18 years. 😢The last medals have been given out!
It's been so much fun and Covid restrictions required much creativity to keep going but it's time for a new direction with new challenges. Thank you to all our Jacappella families past and present for all your support and a BIG thank you to the hundreds of children I have taught who have joined me on my Jacappella journey. 🎵💜🎶

A big Jacappella welcome to our new starters in the Reception after school class today! We had great fun marching, drumming, flying our butterflies and rolling the ball!

We’re coming up to the ast week of Jacappella classes now and it’s medal report and certificate time with lots of fun Christmas singing and playing. Jingles bells will be ringing out around the village this week.

Another 1st for Jacappella today....singing outside in the garden under umbrellas in the rain🎵🎶🌨☔ with our pre school group. The Splish Splash song was rather appropriate because not only could we hear the rain clearly on the brollies but we could see and feel it too!

Hopefully my new Reception class enjoyed their session after school today....I did....feels amazing to be back doing what I do best....Music...yeah!🎵🎶💜
We sang 'Hello' to each other, moved our bodies to 'Hands on Shoulders,' chased a fly around the kitchen/bathroom/bedroom/playroom, played the instruments to the 'Big Band Parade' and finished nice and quietly with the butterfly song!
Here's to more of the same next week! 🎵💜🎶

So excited to have just completed my first face to face lesson since last October!

Welcome back everyone to a new term of online Jacappella lessons. Lots to look forward to with songs and activities about jungle animals🦏🦁, dinosaurs and mini beasts🦋🐞🐝🐛. This week we have listened to a new story 'Walking in the Jungle' and played some rhythm games...the Gruffalo game🦊🐁, Bingo 🎵🎶🎵and Hunt the Shorts 🎵 These are our new stories for the next couple of weeks...I wonder if you already know any of these?

We've reached the last week of term already and the theme this week is 'Frogs'...we have been singing 5 Little Speckled Frogs and the Little Green Frog. Our story is about the Wide Mouthed Frog and here's how to make one. Our Jacappella songs are Sing Hello, Big Band Parade and Butterfly. The Year 2's are continuing with some more pitch and rhythm work and singing Red Squirrel. Looking forward to seeing you all sometime this week👍🎶🎵🐸
