If you want to experience Skiathos without breaking the bank, there are so many beautiful little family run hotels to choose from . It’s not surprising that their guests return year after year. We stayed at Morfia’s in Troulos, which has upgraded many of its rooms ( if you see them described as Deluxe, then they are upgraded). Our rooms were in the block that is scheduled for upgrading in 2028 so if you don’t mind basic then you can still grab a bargain . The pool area is immaculate with a lovely pool side bar that serves food and the family can be seen testing the water quality every day. Their on site restaurant “ Ratatouille” serves excellent traditional Greek cuisine, probably cooked by Morfia herself who is everywhere you look from morning to night, I’m not sure when she sleeps ! Pictures are of a deluxe family room we went to view.

Mama Mia boat trip ! Poseidon trip was recommended by locals as being the best . £50 per person , a great day. Top deck got a bit windy though . Officially not a party boat but they weren’t reckoning on us getting it started! Up to the church for our exercise . All those circuit classes have been worth it . Skiathos is a tiny island with more lovely beaches than you could possibly visit. Daily flights and great prices due to early season, which means it’s not all fully open . We are here with TUI . Visited Elivi Hotel in Skiathos today . Sooo beautiful. if you are looking for a Greek Wedding venue or special holiday destination then this has to be up there on your list .
