Tomodachi Island is a little part of my imagination that I have decided to share with the world. It is and ever growing project of mine and this little Island never stops growing. This gorgeous Bake Kujira is on its way to its new home too. What a piece of art this creature is. I’ve always loved Bake Kujira, but to hold it in my hands and to be able to work on it has been truly amazing. It took me longer to finish than I first anticipated. Mainly because of all the tiny little details that you might not think of when you see it for the first time. There is so much going on in this piece and I feel like I’ve used ALL the techniques I possess to finish. How amazing did it turn out though?! I’m truly in love with it! These babies are finished and on their way to their forever home. So much fun! I will definitely be using this rainbow technique again in a not so distant future. I just don’t know on what yet. This is just one of the reasons why I love private commissions so so much! They push me to do things I normally wouldn’t, and to be able to make my clients visions come true gets me so excited every time. The fact that we can get to this point by sharing reference pictures and words, is truly amazing. There’s no greater feeling of accomplishment 🤩🤩🤩

Reference doodles for the Grampa Cats I’m currently working on… I’ll be taking you on a journey through my whole process this time, in the for of three reels. I’m really pushing myself out of my comfort zone creating these reels. I hope you’ll enjoy them and I am actually really excited to give you a full view into my workflow. It will still be a few weeks before the reels are ready. I’ll be sharing some snippets along the way 🥰

Many commissions under way at the moment… The colours have been so much fun on these. And I haven’t sculpted in a while but it’s been great to add these hibiscus flowers. My first time printing actual flowers but they came out great. And they are so much less fragile than the ones I used to sculpt. They just look fantastic and soooooo colourful 😍

And so another is in the bag. I don’t know how after 10+ years of doing this, each year keeps getting better and better. I can not express in words just how fantastic it is to be part of the toy community. I searched for a place to belong most of my life and I never found one until I found my toy family. What’s even more amazing about my toy family is that it grows little by little every year and I get to know so many amazing people. I want to thank my amazing booth buddy for being such an amazing friend. Love you so much and ToyCon would not be the same without you! Thanks to who I only got to know a year ago, but you two have become really good friends of mine and I cannot wait to see you again next year! Thanks to for not only being a massive inspiration and one of the reasons I found the toy scene so many years ago, but for treating my kids (who are now your biggest fans, they won’t spend the night without Baldwin next to them) and for being an amazing friend and a good laugh. And to the brightest star Tony who always brings a smile and your warmth that never seems to run out, and not to forget the Mary Poppins bag of sweets and snacks! Love you all so much! And even though I only see you once a year I consider you some of the best friends I’ve ever had!

I have a few pieces left which I will be releasing tomorrow 7th of May at 8.00 PM London Time in my web store. So if you saw something that tickled your fancy make sure to check in tomorrow.

And this is my last toy for this time. I have been working nonstop since December, with the solo show I had in Tampa and then straight on to ToyConUK. It’s been amazing and incredibly tiering at the same time. But working this intensely for so many months has been incredibly rewarding. I feel like there’s no stopping me at the moment and I’m thirsty for more. Usually this time of year leaves me drained. Drained creatively. But not this time. I’m looking forward to the next few months and to this weekend where I get to see all of my friends and peers that I only get to see ones a year 🥰🥰🥰
