🐢 One thing Zanzibar reminded me is how important it is to slow down sometimes.

Between work, family life and everyday routines, we often forget how good it feels to switch off completely.

Whether it’s a beach in Zanzibar, a city break in Europe or a weekend away in the UK, travel gives us the chance to reset and make memories that last long after we’ve unpacked the suitcase.

One of the highlights of our Zanzibar trip was getting out on the water and exploring beneath the surface. The colours, the marine life and the clarity of the water were incredible. 🐠🌊

Back to reality… and I’m not sure I’m ready for it! 😅

After an incredible week in Zanzibar filled with turquoise seas, beautiful food, amazing people and unforgettable experiences, it’s safe to say I’m suffering from a serious case of holiday blues today. 🌴💙

The washing is on, the suitcase is unpacked, and the weather is definitely not quite the same! I seem to have ended the heatwave here - sorry! 🙈

That said, I’m feeling incredibly grateful for the memories, the experiences, and all the content I’ve brought back to share with you over the coming weeks.

Now… where should I go next? ✈️🌍

This morning we visited a local village near our hotel and it ended up being one of the most memorable experiences of our trip.

We stopped at a small local shop and bought sweets to share with some of the children before spending time walking through the village and learning a little more about everyday life here.

What struck me most wasn’t what people had, but how welcoming everyone was.

Travel has a wonderful way of giving us perspective. It’s easy to get caught up in the luxury of beautiful hotels, infinity pools and white-sand beaches, but experiences like this remind you that every destination has another side to its story.

One thing I’ll take home from Zanzibar is the warmth, resilience and friendliness of the people we’ve met along the way.

Sometimes the most memorable part of a holiday isn’t a place at all – it’s the people. ❤️
