⚽ World Cup Charity Sweepstake 2026 ⚽

We're combining a little friendly competition to raise month for our WMB Charity of the Year, Focus Counselling and we hope that you will join the fun and support this amazing charity!

For just £20 you'll be entered into our World Cup Sweepstake and be randomly assigned a team during a live zoom draw on June 11 at 12 noon. You do not need to attend the zoom meet up to participate, but you must register and pay (QR code will be emailed) before entries close.

Here's how it works:
• Register and pay to secure your entry on WMB website
• On June 11, we'll randomly assign teams to registered participants during a zoom meeting.
• Follow your team's progress throughout the tournament.
• Win prizes if your team succeeds!

All proceeds will go to Focus Counselling.

As some of you may already know, Women Mean Biz is in the process of a rebrand and it's all starting to come together!

Yesterday I enjoyed a photo shoot with the FANTASTIC Jenny Stewart . Capture Your Authentic Story and some of our wonderful members who agreed to model for us and appear on the website and across our brand new marketing materials!

If you've never had a brand photoshoot with Jenny then I can't recommend her highly enough. Not only does she produce the most amazing photographs that really capture the essence of what your brand is all about, but she makes the shoots so much fun!

The meeting itself is only the start when it comes to effective networking. How you follow up after the meeting is often where the magic happens! In this video, Lisa and Philippa discuss some of the things you should do after a meeting to ensure you start to form meaningful relationships with the people you met as this is what will ultimately lead to referrals and collaboration opportunities!

WMB Workshop - Forget About Beating the Instagram Algorithm – Make Friends With it Instead with Karina Methven of Magic Bean Media

This is a FANTASTIC blog from one of our members, Molly Koeneman who was ready to quit networking after returning from Maternity Leave last year. So why didn’t she? This is what she discusses in this blog and it’s so powerful! here’s a snippet:

“I went from wanting to quit my networking group to feeling like it’s one of the most valuable parts of my business. Not just because of the referrals or the work (though those have been huge), but because I no longer feel like I’m doing this alone. Freelancing after maternity leave felt isolating. Rebuilding momentum felt slow and exposing. But being honest about that didn’t push people away. It pulled the right people closer. If you take one thing from this, let it be this:

Don’t go to networking events to sell. Go to be known. And don’t be afraid to ask for what you need.”

What is so great about this blog is that Molly hits the nail on the head about what networking is all about. She talks so authentically about how lonely and overwhelming being a business owner can be but how finding the right network helps to alleviate that. While referrals are great, networking isn't just about selling. Networking is about relationships, support and having people who you can say "I need help" to and know that they will do what they can to provide that help!
