Yesterday morning we left Soulac-sur-Mer, took the ferry back to Royan, France’s oldest lighthouse at Corduan & drove to St Malo. As we walked along Le Bas Sablons, I thought about travelling more slowly, but not flying & how much my children have grown since we visited 4 countries last summer, also without flying.
We then had dinner by Tour Solidor.

Today I’m at the Médoc Wine Festival in Soulac Sur Mer. The Basilica of Our Lady of World’s End dates from 1100AD, and the town was visited by emissaries from Palestine in 70AD
