My postcard arrived! It cost less than £2 to send from the post office in the airport. A hotel concierge wanted $150USD. I’m glad she tried it with me, because I wouldn’t have believed such a thing could have happened otherwise. That hotel dropped significantly in my estimation.

Yesterday morning we left Soulac-sur-Mer, took the ferry back to Royan, France’s oldest lighthouse at Corduan & drove to St Malo. As we walked along Le Bas Sablons, I thought about travelling more slowly, but not flying & how much my children have grown since we visited 4 countries last summer, also without flying.
We then had dinner by Tour Solidor.

Today I’m at the Médoc W**e Festival in Soulac Sur Mer. The Basilica of Our Lady of World’s End dates from 1100AD, and the town was visited by emissaries from Palestine in 70AD
