It's wonderful Wednesday here at AM2PM HQ.

Our Transit is out on its Amazon run, the rest of the management team are busy doing management things, and I'm sat here posting this 🤠

Thinking of a 30 years old bus and and thoughts of our trip to the recent Edwards Coaches Centenary event and open day, we see Bristol RE LAX 101E, turns out it's actually from 1967 as is almost 60 years old!

The boss recently got his hands on an actual 30 year old bus, Abus' fabulous DAF DB250 / Northern Counties M645 RCP. It's really nice to drive the older, simple gear once in a while 😊

I suppose at some point we best add a Bristol vehicle to the fleet, maybe a nice Lodekka 🤔

The recently refurbished seafront now offers a sweeping promenade along the entire length of Whitmore Bay beach, against a backdrop of enticing cafés and restaurants, beach, vibrant beach huts and lots to amuse the kids with a climbing wall, mist feature, adventure golf and beautiful landscaped gardens. Or for the more adventurous, Barry Island Pleasure Park offers thrilling rides.
And not forgetting the Gavin and Stacey connection!

- St Fagans - Wales National History Museum, Cardiff, Wales

One of Europe's foremost open-air museums and Wales's most popular heritage attraction and voted best museum in the uk. It stands in the grounds of the magnificent St Fagans Castle. Free entry 🎟

Over forty original buildings from different historical periods have been re-erected in the 100-acre parkland housing a farm, a school, a chapel and a splendid Workmen's Institute. There are also workshops where craftsmen still demonstrate their traditional skills. Their produce is usually on sale.

⚠️ Urgent Warning: French officials wrongly fining UK coach operators.

We're getting reports of French officials mistakenly fining UK coach operators on international work for "incorrect" O Licences in Pas de Calais, Normandy, and Paris. They may be confusing freight and passenger vehicle requirements.

Since Brexit, UK coaches operate under the Interbus Agreement, requiring a "certified true copy" of the O Licence. Unlike goods vehicle licences, these lack watermarks/embossing, which officials seem to be looking for.

We're raising this with DfT & French officials. If this happens to you, appeal the penalty!

Action for operators:
- Contact Andy Warrender to report incidents.
- Carry a copy of the Interbus Agreement (Article 20 is key!).
- Immediately replace any old "EU Community Licences" with UK versions.
- Request certified true copies from the Office of the Traffic Commissioner if you don't have them.
