Thanksgiving dates back to the 1600s when the early European settlers gave thanks for a good harvest, and way before this the Native American Indians celebrated harvest festivals. Since the 1980s, the day after Thanksgiving has become known as Black Friday, a day of shopping when retailers profits turned from red to black, followed by, in more recent times, Cyber Monday, a day of online shopping!
