I’m delighted to share that I have joined the ABTA Board of Directors as a Non-Executive Director.

Having worked in travel for 45 years, ABTA has always represented something I believe strongly in – professionalism, high standards and giving people confidence when they travel.

I’m very proud to have the opportunity to contribute to the Board and bring my experience as an independent travel professional.

For my clients nothing changes. I'll continue to be there personally, looking after every detail of their travel and providing the expertise service and reassurance they know and can rely on.

Croatia by yacht seems to be having a bit of a moment.

I've had several enquiries recently from clients who love the idea of seeing Croatia from the water, but don't necessarily want a large cruise ship.

I've been looking at the different options for 2027 and there is far more choice than you might expect. From Dubrovnik, Hvar and the islands of Dalmatia to Zadar, Opatija and the lesser-known north, each itinerary offers something quite different.

Smaller ships mean smaller harbours, beautiful swim stops and plenty of time ashore – without constantly packing and unpacking.

Not a bad start to a Monday in London when Pierce Brosnan is standing outside the hotel as you arrive!

I spent the day at the beautiful The Cadogan A Belmond Hotel for Aspire Luxury Travel Aspire Escapes, with a full day of one-to-one meetings, catching up with familiar faces and meeting plenty of new ones.

New hotels, destinations, cruise and lots to look forward to for 2027. Even after more than 40 years in travel, I still come away from days like this having learnt something new – and with plenty to follow up on.

A big thank you to the Aspire team for looking after us so well, and to Sarah Lucy Brown for capturing the day.
