Today’s VIP passenger travelling in style!

A slightly different passenger for MET Executive Travel today!

This little fella belonged to our client’s little boy and was accidentally left behind at Celtic Manor, leaving him absolutely devastated without his favourite cuddly toy.

After a little rescue mission yesterday, and knowing I was heading to London today anyway, I arranged to meet our client along the way.

Of course, our VIP passenger travelled in comfort, safely strapped in for the journey!

Our client kindly offered to pay, but we told him there was absolutely no need. We were just happy to help and put a smile back on his little boy’s face.

What we were not expecting was a lovely gesture in return — two tickets to Wales v Australia rugby in November.

Completely unexpected and very much appreciated!

Sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest difference.

Every VIP deserves the five-star treatment — even the fluffy ones! ❤️

🚨 HAS ANYONE SEEN THIS MAN?! 🚨

Caught on our bosses doorbell at 3:30 AM this morning!

I’m absolutely FUMING! 😡

For years, I’ve been the one driving my boss to the airport. Early starts, motorway traffic, loading his luggage and hanging around at departures.

And let’s be fair, all those early morning airport runs were earning me some serious brownie points with the boss! I thought I was well on my way to my next pay rise! 😂

UNTIL THIS BLOKE TURNED UP! 😡

3:30 AM, bang on time, in a spotless executive Mercedes.

Smartly dressed, loaded the luggage, opened the door for my boss like he was some sort of celebrity and off they went!

Apparently, my boss spent the entire journey relaxing, catching up on emails and preparing for his meetings while this bloke took care of everything.

No traffic stress, no parking worries, no hassle.

NOW MY BOSS HAS INFORMED ME HE WON’T BE NEEDING ME TO DRIVE HIM TO THE AIRPORT EVER AGAIN! 😤

Years of loyal service. Gone. Just like that!

AND THERE GO ALL MY BROWNIE POINTS! 🤦‍♂️

And to make matters worse, he’s already told the rest of the management team about him!

IT GETS WORSE!

My boss travels so regularly that he’s now told me he wants to open a corporate account with these people so they can take care of ALL his business travel!

And after looking at their reviews, it turns out THIS ISN’T EVEN THE FIRST TIME THEY’VE DONE THIS! 😡

Apparently, they’ve been doing it hundreds of times with a whole team of drivers and somehow they’ve even managed to earn the trust of some of the country’s most well-known sporting stars and TV personalities!

Clearly, this bloke has been getting away with it for years! 🤦‍♂️

I’ve done some digging, and apparently he operates under the name MET Executive Travel

It’s been a great week at MET working alongside our long-standing friends at , which involved looking after rugby royalty from the South African national team. 🇿🇦🏉

A pleasure to have Eben Etzebeth, Thomas du Toit, Ethan Ho**er, André Esterhuizen, Ox Nché and Edwill van der Merwe on board.

As always, the guys were fantastic and incredibly kind to welcome my little boy George to the hotel, where he got to meet the lads and have a photo with them.

Can’t put a price on moments like these. Thank you! 💙

Genuinely so pleased for Joe Cordina and his family following his acquittal today.

Ever since we’ve known Joe, he has been nothing but kind, polite and respectful. Nothing has ever been too much trouble for him. He has always been willing to give up his time to support fundraisers, generously donate gifts and help out at sporting events whenever asked.

Joe is a genuinely great guy with a beautiful family, and it’s been difficult to see what they’ve all had to go through. The impact of this situation hasn’t just been on Joe, but on those closest to him too.

Hopefully, they can now put this chapter behind them, enjoy some peace as a family and look forward to the future.

Most importantly, Joe can now get back to concentrating on what he does best — being a world-class fighter. 🥊

We’ve only been in our new home for two weeks, but one thing we know we’ll never get tired of is the beautiful view as we drive down our driveway.

So many people ask, “What does MET stand for?” Well, here’s where it all began… 💙

9 years ago today, MET was born.

What started as a little idea to earn some extra money alongside my regular taxi driving has turned into something I could never have imagined.

It’s been the most incredible journey, full of hard work, challenges, unforgettable moments and opportunities I never dreamed possible.

Looking back at where it all started and seeing how far we’ve come makes me incredibly proud.

Here’s to 9 amazing years, and to everything still to come! 💙🥂
