The Town Mill in nearby Lyme Regis is thought to be one of 5,000 pre-Doomsday Mills, with a long history. Set in the artisan quarter of Lyme Regis, when the Mill is open you are able to visit all three floors including the working waterwheel. Volunteer millers Mill stoneground flour, which is also available to buy! As this is a volunteer led charitable trust, please check opening times to avoid disappointment.

We love to welcome dogs to 4 Mill View Cottage, as they love the beach just as much as we do!

There are plenty of walks from the cottage door with lots of things to sniff and enjoy. We also have a small contained courtyard, which is a safe space for your dog to relax in at the end of the day (as well as you).

Try a new coastal adventure and walk from Charmouth to Lyme Regis along the beach - but only when the tide is out!

As the sea retreats, a hidden world is revealed. You can spot ammonites embedded in the rocks you walk over, explore rock pools teeming with life, and maybe even find a fossil!

Arriving in Lyme Regis, reward yourself with a coffee or ice cream, and then hop onto the Coastal Hopper Bus (X51 or X53) for a 10 minute journey back to the cottage.

Please check tide times before taking this walk and leave yourselves plenty of time!
