😎 Summer is here...and the main festivals, carnivals and annual village fairs can be found together on our calendar. (see link in comments). Coming up this Saturday 6 June is St Leonards Village Fete St Leonards Parish Hall, followed by Schools of Chesham Carnival on Saturday 13 June. A tonne of great community effort goes into these fantastic events every year for residents and visitors to enjoy.

Open Community Garden and estate earlier for National Garden Schemes… There were also fabulous cream teas! The charity runs projects supporting vulnerable people. Next NGS open day there is 5 September, and before that are Proms by the Lake events on 3 and 4 July

Produced some time back in 2002 by Cholesbury-cum-St-Leonards Local History Group, these downloadable leaflets are still little gems of history and walking routes around the hilltop villages and hamlets north https://www.cholesbury.com/walks/ and (once Black Horse re-opens on 12 June) they all include a pub and/or cafe for pitstops. (Note walk 2 'Rose and Crown is now Chiltern Velo).

Get out of the heat a little for some fresh air in the hilltop woodlands. Cowcroft Woods in Ley Hill has some fine shade. (and it's not far from The Crown opposite Ley Hill Common open from 9am).

Day three, here we come!

Today, we've got Buster Keaton's classic silent movie accompanied by local musician Bohdan Reshetilov’s live piano performance opening The Elgiva Sunday line up and again, Sunday Free Fringe continues to bring something for everyone across Chesham at the town's fantastic venues: Vault 17 Chesham, The Drawingroom music venue, The George and Dragon, Chapter Two and Generals Arms Chesham.

Embrace the Spanish weather we're having with Flamenco Fiesta at The Red Lion Chesham this afternoon at 2.30pm!

Dance the day away with The 80’s Night and croon along with Ed Sheeran Experience - Tribute Show - so much going on!

Any remaining tickets are still online, or you can pay on the door.

We'll be at the hub if you need us - 87 High Street, opposite the Junction Cafe.
