Driveway works starting to take shape on a project in Iwerne Minster, Corten steel panels were used to retain the sloping ground and the cubes of yew helping to scale down the size of the house. in the rear garden the Kitchen garden has been regraded and tidied up after the builders had finished building the new walls, this area will be covered in wildflower seed as this phase will not be constructed for a few years.

Next will be the paving to the rear patio's and the final gravel layers to the drive.

The next phase of works continued throughout 2021, at one of our larger projects in Wiltshire.
Tasks included dredging one of the main lakes and renovating the surrounding flora. Repairing and improving the weir that controls the lake. Part of the lake edge was reprofiled to accommodate a new jetty and natural swimming access.

Further downstream we dredged the canal. Here we rebuilt the edge of the canal using “Rock roll” a modular stone system. Re-profiled the soil to increase the level slightly, the top half was re-turfed and the bottom half will be planted with marginal planting scheme at a later date. The Ha Ha that forms the back of the canal was also renovated.

Additionally, we installed new estate railings and gates, in the field side of the property. The wider estate we planted more new trees, included Oak and other native species.

The next phase of herbaceous planting took place during 2021. The structured planting, trees and shrubs are starting to settle in and mature. This time we introduced planting in the gravel paths and surrounding larger borders.

Garden design

Our in-house garden designer worked closely with one of our new clients to create a scheme for a new build project. The design comprises of three main areas. The drive and front garden, rear garden and courtyard, kitchen garden and small arboretum.

The rear garden employs pleached trees to provide partial enclosure around the courtyard space. Using the trees in the way we have also allows for sun light through to the planting and seating areas below. The overall proposal will have broad selection of trees and shrubs.

2020. Working with the governments guidelines and introducing safety measures we managed to work around the pandemic crisis. Here is a selection of works we have carried out over the past year. They is no job too big or small for us. We have a broad spectrum of skills, knowledge and experience. Including garden and landscape design.

Dispite the odd year we have all had, we completed the next schedule of works at one of our larger projects. Know rapping up this week for the festive celebrations. We look forward to the next phase of works early in 2021.

Work progressed well leading up to the Christmas and New year break. We are scheduled to revisit the site in the next couple of weeks, to carry out the next phase of works.
