Millstores has confirmed the date for the first coach-operator familiarisation event in Cleveleys. Several tour operators have been invited to enjoy an overnight stay and tour of the town, so they get a real sense of how much Cleveleys has to offer.

Ongoing work will aim to shape future actions aimed at attracting group tourism to the town. Retailers are invited to join the conversation and contribute to a town-wide action plan for coach group readiness.

Exciting news for families in Blackpool! Ms. Katy (a tribute to Ms. Rachel) is coming in 2025, bringing the magic of learning, music, and joy to life like never before. This interactive, immersive event is designed to engage, educate, and entertain young children and their families through the songs, lessons, and playful energy that Ms. Rachel fans know and love.

Step into a world filled with familiar tunes, engaging educational activities, and special spaces crafted for little ones to explore and discover. With live performances, sing-along sessions, and hands-on learning moments, this unique event will create magical memories for children and parents alike.

Created with the audience in mind, the running time of the show is 40 minutes. All attendees will be able to meet "Ms Katy” after the show, which is aimed at audiences 0 - 4 years old, but all are welcome. Ticket availability is capped to ensure that all children can enjoy the show.

It's the superb Blackpool Air Show this weekend! One of the longest running ones in the world, it dates back to 1909! The RAF Red Arrows will open and close the weekend which features loads of thrilling displays from military and civilian aircraft.

PLUS the Air Show Village on the promenade, with stalls, attractions and food concessions. Plus military vehicles, weapon stands, attractions, and information and official merchandise stalls for various aircraft that will be performing over the weekend. AND IT'S ALL FREE!

GREAT NEWS!

The Blackpool Tower and Madame Tussauds enter into local management today (1 August 2025), in what's being described as a historic and transformative moment for the UK’s most iconic seaside resort. Day-to-day operation of Blackpool’s most famous landmark and the waxworks attraction will now be managed by the council’s wholly-owned tourism company, Blackpool Tourism Limited.

It's an exciting step forward, in the transformation of the Talbot Gateway area. It's Phase 4 in the £350m plans to bring 8000 professional workers and students into the area.
