The adults-only Stella Island hotel effortlessly impresses with its chic, modern interiors and laidback luxury atmosphere. You’ll find it on Crete’s northern coast in Analipsi. Wander through the grounds and you’ll see that the lagoon-like pool winds its way through the complex, and it comes with wooden sunbathing platforms. On one side, there’s a huddle of swanky swim-up rooms, and elsewhere you’ll find overwater bungalow rooms – you’d be forgiven for thinking you’d pitched up in the Maldives.
When it comes to food, you’ve got the choice of five restaurants. The main restaurant is a buffet setup serving around-the-world dishes, and the rest are à la carte eateries. The rooftop place specialises in Mediterranean cuisine and then there are restaurants serving sushi, authentic Cretan dishes, and grilled meat and fish.
