The Moon Rising Over St Michael’s Mount - 17th September 2024

Captured with a Nikon D780 440mm | ISO 1600 | f/5.6

This image is a stack of 155 exposures, taken at 4-second intervals. The moon’s trail was created using the lighten blend mode in Photoshop.

The first shot was taken at 7:33 PM and the last at 7:44 PM, covering a total of 11 minutes.

I used the final frame to showcase the moon and a mid-sequence frame for the foreground. Sharpening and noise reduction was applied using Topaz Sharpen.
