Chainsaw Maintenance and Crosscutting - training course and City & Guilds NPTC Assessment, running on 26th, 27th, & 28th August 2026.

Professional training for tree workers and other chainsaw users – build knowledge, judgement, and confidence.
Successful completion will give the Certificate of Competence required by Law for anyone using a chainsaw in a place of work. No prior experience is necessary but those with experience will be able to hone and build on the skills and knowledge. - Cost £590.00 total, including assessment fees

Now known as The Forestry and Arboriculture Training Fund you can get 100% Grant Funding to train no matter what your experience or situation from Basic Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross-cutting through to Pruning and Rigging. Learn: how to select suitable equipment; calculate the forces and see them in action with the use of a load cell; carry out a Visual Tree Assessment for structural integrity; and understand and comply with legislation and current industry best practices.
