Do you love a log burner, or prefer to use the central heating?🏚

💧☔️During all the recent wet weather the logs stored in the boot room got wet. There is a gap at the top of the wall and we had so much rain it soaked all the logs.☔️💧

So, George and I got to work and made a new wood store. Now the logs are neatly stacked in the new store in the boot room for you to use on the log burner.

We still have a little bit of avilbility before the log burner is rested and the BBQ comes out.

Great Ash Barn is perfectly positioned in Mid Devon so you can do both.
Maps provided for walking in the local area, and lots of information leaflets to give you ideas of where to visit. From Brewery's to kids attractions, Devon has something for everyone.

If you fancy meeting this cheeky chappy, book a stay at Great Ash Barn. You can meet the goats and chickens and collect your own freshly laid eggs.
I'm about to open the calendar for 2027 so if you have dates you'd like, let me know and we can get them booked in.

If you have little ones who want to enjoy the freedom of the countryside, book Great Ash Barn. See link in comments for availbility. We do have some term time weeks left.

The only school holiday left in 2026 is Oct half term. But you can book ahead for 2027.

Great Ash Barn welcomes dogs. You have a kennel where you can leave dogs unattended, they can be walked from the kennel by prior arrangement for a small fee.
If you'd like to leave them in the house, dog sitting can be arranged for a fee.

There are miles and miles of walks from the doorstep on footpaths and fields.
🚶🐕🚶‍♀️🐕🚶🐕🚶‍♀️
A warm dog shower with Faith in Nature dog shampoo, and towels provided.

Dogs can go on the furniture if you bring your own throws.

Fully fenced garden to keep your dogs secure. 🏡

And for the humans there are 3 bedrooms sleeping 6 and a hot tub. 🛌

There's alot of variation to running a holiday let. One day I'm making the most of no guests, so I'm in the hot tub, and George takes this great pic. The next I'm sanding furniture.
The bedside tables from the king room have had a freshen up.
